Hi, I'm Saif -- a law graduate that somehow ended up in fashion.
The burning desire to shape culture has been an intrinsic part of my being, deeply rooted in my family’s history. My grandmother, a formidable advocate for women's rights in Jordan, made history by founding the kingdom's first women's rights organization. The legacy she left behind has inspired me to follow in her footsteps.
My initial belief was grounded in the idea that the legal system would serve as the primary conduit for change. This prompted me to pursue an undergraduate degree in law. However; a profound revelation altered the trajectory of my aspirations. I came to recognize that authentic change doesn't emanate solely from the legal system; it evolves primarily through societal interactions, driven by the compelling narratives we weave through storytelling. This epiphany marked a pivotal shift in my perspective and provided the impetus for me to transition into a career in fashion, where I could harness different tools to amplify the voices of marginalized communities and catalyze meaningful social transformation.
My exploration of creative spaces in the Middle East revealed a recurring issue: the absence of authentic representation. My culture's stories were frequently told by outsiders, and I was determined to change this. I believed my unique perspective was vital in a polarized media landscape lacking diverse voices.
I embarked on a journey into the fashion industry, defying skepticism and pursuing my vision to illuminate the narratives of creatives within my region.
